Abraham Orthodontics Celebrates #10YearsofAOmazing: A Decade of Transforming Smiles and Strengthening Community in Leamington and Chatham-Kent
Abraham Orthodontics is officially celebrating its 10th anniversary, marking a decade since Dr. Maxwell Abraham returned to his hometown of Leamington to redefine orthodontic care in Windsor-Essex. Since its founding in 2016, the practice has grown from a specialized clinic in Leamington to a regional leader with growth or second state-of-the-art office in Chatham, all while contributing millions in community value.
“Celebrating #10YearsofAOmazing isn’t just about the clinical milestones; it’s about the relationships we’ve built with patients’ families and the community that fostered our growth” says Dr. Maxwell Abraham. “From the beginning, our mission was to use our platform to enhance the lives of the kids and families we treat, ensuring that world-class care is accessible, affordable, and deeply rooted in local support”.A Legacy of Giving: Impacting Every Corner of the Community
Over the last 10 years, Abraham Orthodontics has become synonymous with local philanthropy, reaching beyond the dental chair to support health, education, and youth development:
- The "Growing Smiles" Program: This cornerstone initiative has provided over $2 million in free orthodontic exams and growth assessments since 2016, allowing families to monitor dental development without financial barriers.
- Healthcare Innovation: Dr. Abraham and his wife, Christen Abraham, recently fundraised over $65,000 to the Erie Shores Health Foundation to bring the first-ever MRI to Leamington, ensuring families in Essex County have access to critical diagnostic imaging close to home.
- Youth & Mental Health Support: The practice established the Abraham Orthodontics Community Youth Room at the Leamington Nature Fresh Recreation Centre and recently renewed a major partnership with Maryvale to expand satellite mental health services locally.
- School & Literacy Initiatives: From sponsoring the Tilbury Public School Breakfast Club to donating the area's first Buddy Bench at St. Louis Catholic School, the AO team is active in dozens of schools. This includes pioneering the Math Game Kits at Harrow Public to promote STEM literacy through family play.
- Supporting Chatham-Kent: Since opening the Chatham office on St. Clair St., the team has quickly integrated into the community, notably donating thousands of oral health kits to the Chatham Goodfellows every year to deliver to families in need each holiday season.
Award-Winning Leadership
The decade has seen Dr. Abraham recognized as a top leader in the region, earning the title of United Way 40 Under 40, Young Professional of the Year in Windsor (2021), Leamington (2018, 2024), and most recently in Chatham (2024). He currently serves on the Boards of Directors for Erie Shores HealthCare, Erie Shores Health Foundation and the Ontario Association of Orthodontists, continuing to advocate for regional healthcare excellence.
